Kim and Darlene Unrau
Kim & Darlene Unrau

With over 30 years of experience in working with youth and parents, Kim and Darlene Unrau bring their passion to equipping parents to stay connected confidently, navigate through changing and challenging situations and initiate 1000s of little, ongoing conversations transferring their values onto their children. With Kim’s degree in Theology and three decades of experience in pastoral counselling, he has developed Inspired Life Training. With an MA in Education majoring in counselling, Darlene’s present role is one of creator, presenter and trainer of the True To You curriculum offered in workshops to both students and youth influencers in public and private settings. Their joy is three wonderful sons, two exquisite daughters-in-law and two adorable grandchildren. Kim and Darlene have been married for 36 years and reside in Kelowna.

Karen Roeck
Director of Middle School
Karen currently works at Heritage Christian Online School as the Director of Middle School Instruction. She has an eclectic career background as a K-12 public and independent school teacher, online school administrator, award-winning choral conductor, volleyball coach, and university course writer. Karen first learned how to lead and love others from her parents, who served for many years in the local school and church communities. She thrives when helping people discover their spiritual gifts and talents, and empowering them to fulfill their role within the body of Christ. She and her high school sweetheart Aaron live in Langley, BC with their two children, Kayte and Ben, and their crazy dogs named Gus and Olly.
Laura Nelson
Grad Advisor
Laura has taught 27 years, and has taught a wide range of students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. She has in both the public and independent school systems. Her youngest is neurodivergent, graduated from HCOS and now is attending the University of Victoria. She has taught in Inclusive Education for the last seven years. Laura’s passion is to help students discover the gifts and talents God has given them and to help students and families navigate these exciting and also challenging years.
